Why Teach with LinkedtoAsia?

Often times the first thing we hear as we are out recruiting is, “What exactly do you all do?

All together, this is not too bad of a opening question!

We hire teachers to go over to China (for now) and teach basic English. This is not really complicated, but it definitely can be a great deal to wrap your head around if you have never taught or thought about teaching anything and if you have never considered traveling away from your family and friends. We get it, the idea of this can be super scary on several levels.

If I were told that I could have a great opportunity to train panda bears in Switzerland and that all I had to do was graduate from college and I could have a guaranteed job, then I would be as elated as I was concerned. I mean job prospects are pretty good and it would be exciting to travel to Switzerland, but I have never even considered training bears to do anything and yet alone figured I would be qualified to do as much!

Needless to say, teaching English to students is no where near as awe inspiring, it still evokes the hair raising equivalency of stage fright and constant performance pressure. That is why you want to choose LinkedtoAsia for this type of engagement. We all need, at the very basic level, support, when we attempt to do anything new in life! In fact it was a famed psychologist, Vygotsky, that helped us all understand that we learn to do new things best by modeling from experienced others, just like Vincent did with his class here.

When hired by LinkedtoAsia you are joining a family of likeminded travelers and educators that are highly credentialed and recognized in various fields of education and business. You are connected to us at all times while in China and your family has access to us here in the United States. We not only provide constant contact, but we provide real time answers to beginning challenges that help your first 60 days to be comfortable and worry free.

In addition to support, our partner schools recognize that for many of our teachers it is their first engagement working and they do all they can to limit the amount of hours that you actually teach English to students so that you can embrace living in a new country. This level of support transcends to various levels such as having the peace of mind to do laundry and cook a meal without being so taxed with lesson planning and grading papers. You are part of an understanding family we are all here to support you on this new journey.
