A Helping Hand – LinkedtoAsia Partners with Chinese Red Cross Foundation

It always helps to have the best information when working with any company, but especially one that does international business like LinkedtoAsia.

The Chinese Red Cross Foundation, CRCF, had its last international partnership over 4 years ago in August 2015. The CRCF accepted 25 international volunteers to come to Shangqiu, Henan Province, to support local education. The volunteers had an amazing time and so did the children in that rural village.

When the CRCF works with international partners, to aide children from lower socioeconomic areas, there are huge challenges in human capital and financial resources. With so many challenges, the CRFC had to halt doing international volunteer program collaborations as it required sending many Chinese volunteers to assist each participant and, at the time, many of their staff did not speak English that well.

Couple this with the enormous amount of other programs CRFC is sanctioned to operate, especially regarding health initiatives for young children, and it only makes sense that cultural exchange programs had to be momentarily halted. In early 2019, LinkedtoAsia, LTA, reached out to CRCF because our goal is to provide educational support and eventually help improve the access to quality education in underdeveloped areas in China.

By reaching across the continent, LTA has been able to secure a partnership with CRCF in order to support children again.
